Beginning School and Staying Organized

For those of you who still have another week off, I am envious of you. For the rest of us starting the new semester try to stay organized. The key to having a great semester is keeping up with the work and staying organized. Make sure you have a calendar with monthly and weekly/ daily sections to make sure you don’t miss a single thing. No matter how little or how much you have to do write it down because eventually you will forget something and it may be something important.

I am now about to begin the fifth week of the second semester and I have to say I already have so much to do.  Having a big planner along with a smaller planner that I can take with me anywhere is something that has come in really handy as I can keep track of all the things that I have no matter where I go. The really important thing is to stay on top of your studying and homework assignments. Do not procrastinate even though it is so easy to, you will thank yourself later if you just go ahead and do your work.

Working Out

As an athlete, I have always been in acceptable shape and have kept a decent body. Though this year I am in the process of getting my certification to be a personal trainer through NASM. This has lead me to start working out at a more serious level and not just for fun or whenever I had a sudden desire to go to the gym. As I work out, more consistently I will be posting exercises that are good or exercises that are not so good. I will also let you know what the positioning of an exercise should be to prevent injury and maximize the effect of an exercise. However, it is also important to eat healthy as working out but eating fast food all the time will not get you anywhere. If anyone has any specific muscles or muscle groups that they want to work out or improve I am more than happy to address them. Email me and I will gladly get back to you!

Merry Christmas

Hey everyone, I hope you all had a blessed Christmas Day with your families and friends. I know I did! This Christmas I got a lot of neat things such as washi tape, a mini happy planner, and deco pens for my newly found hobby of planning. I received other things too but I don’t want to bore you with the details. I have yet to try my new gifts and will be posting [with pictures] in the upcoming weeks of how they look and work!

That being said I hope that everyone remembers that the holidays are for being with family and friends, not spending money and receiving gifts. It’s so easy to be swept up in the holiday commotion, but remember to stop, take a breath, and enjoy the time you have with your loved ones.

You’ll be hearing from me soon!

P.S. Sorry I haven’t written anything in a while going through finals week was a little crazy, on the other hand if you guys would like to know how I survived let me know. I’d be happy to write about college finals, what to expect and how to prepare yourself.

Recently there has been a surge for crafting and making everything “prettier”. We now have all types of planners and life planners on top of that, along with those we have stickers and tapes. All this dedicated to making something that used to be a black boring book with information to something that people enjoy looking at and sharing with others.

fullsizerenderI have always loved pretty things, who doesn’t? Except as a college student I don’t have as much time or money as some of the people who have whole youtube channels dedicated to it. I bought an $8.00 Blue Sky planner from Big Lots, and got my self some sticker packs from Hobby Lobby and what my mom had lying around the house. [Note: Buy all these things at back to school sales! Everything is on sale, I promise :).]

At first I was kind of skeptical because I had no clue what I was suppose to do or how i would find the time for decorating my planner. Finding the time wasn’t hard, as you just decorate a little here and a little there, you don’t have to go hog wild at first. I started decorated my planner at first with just highlighting things to make it more organized. The planner I got doesn’t start until 2017 so the daily slots that I would normally have I exchanged with post it notes. Simple enough and to me I think it makes my planner look busy and important, even though it’s just homework assignments.

After finding the time to just sit down and focus on I have added stickers. This was honestly so relaxing and fun being able to create something of my oFullSizeRender-1.jpgwn and personalize it. As you can see in this picture I put stickers of motivation and just happy reminders just to helps me through some tough times. For instance the sticker before all the highlighted is to help remind me that I can get through finals week.

This is just what I personally have found fun and relaxing and you can see  from the pictures that it doesn’t have to be anything especially spectacular. So try it out, let me know what you think. Remember be creative and follow what you want to do don’t try to copy someone or even mine. However you decide to do yours is perfect always!

My Story

“All Things Creative” is something that has been close to my heart for a while now. I have wanted to blog for quite some time yet struggled with what to write about or even what I could bring to the table. Seeing all the other blogs out there was in a way discouraging, but I have decided to just jump right in. I want to inspire those who come across this site to follow their heart, explore those ideas they have in their minds, and to get inspired myself. I hope the best for all of you and would love it if you would follow me on my journey of  All Things Creative.
